Growers, Orphaned and Disabled Childrens Project

Posted by Admin  Published in friends-of-north-kigezi-diocese.co.uk

Project North Kigezi Diocese Growers, Orphaned and Disabled Childrens Project

This project being an integral part of North Kigezi is now run and managed by Evas Mbabazi who is a trained and qualified Occupational Therapist.
We are a Non Governmental organisation, Church based and purpose built for rehabilitation services together with the provision of education and income generating activities to support these many families.

We employ a secretary, an Internal Accountant, 3 field officers, 1 physio assistant all under the management of Evas who is Project Manager and Financial Controller.

On the ground we have a small project office within the Diocesan Office compound which is a simple reporting and meeting office together with a room for storing chillies from one of the income generating projects.

Although our team is small we cover a huge area of ground into areas such as Kisoro, Kabale,Kanungu and Rukungiri itself..

We specialise in the rehabilitation of children from birth to 18 years of age, regardless of religion.
Nearby Kisiizi Hospital plays a major part of this process.
We also run classes to educate the orphan and deaf children that are many in number in our project.

Our funding is all through voluntary donations so we are constantly seeking funds for salaries, running costs of vehicles and medicines.

Please pray for our continued heath to carry on and the financial stability of the project.

For more information kindly contact Evas Mbabazi at northkigezi@infocom.co.ug our Project Manager or Reverend Kenneth Berkin at ken.berkin@ntlworld.com who is the Diocesan Coordinator
